There are a number of accommodation properties that have a slogan along the lines of "you arrive as a guest but leave as a friend" - at Sunset, guests are met as friends and leave as relatives.

There's a word in the local language Bislama, "wan-tok" - it literally translates as "one-talk" and means the extended family. We are a small, intimate resort and you can't help to get to know our fabulous staff, from Roy at Reception to Annie over breakfast to Fred behind the bar. We have an open kitchen so you can ask the chef to go easy on the garlic.

You know that wonderful emotional feeling when you have 'happy tears' - that happens all the time to both our guests and staff when it's time to say farewell.

At Sunset we don't offer five-star luxury but four-star quality, value and service - 'affordable indulgence', if you like. It is the perfect spot to re-kindle romance or to celebrate the first 'kindle' and, being an adults-only resort, chances are you'll meet some like-minded travellers. And, apart from our accommodation, first-class facilities and excellent restaurant we encourage guests to experience the 'real' Vanuatu by sharing our local knowledge on the best places to shop, dine, and things to see and do.
